Fresno, CA. August 5, 2011 – We are proud to announce today, the re-launch of Threatt Muzik, a Christ centered music company based out of Fresno, California. Threatt Muzik is headed by long time friends, music associates and brothers in Christ, Jacques “Tha GIM” Guidry, Jared “Maestro” Elston and
Jepahl White.

Thus far, Threatt Muzik has served as home to Christian rap artist Tha GIM (pronounced; the jim, meaning; the God In Me). Jacques, aka Tha GIM, also founded and ran the company, releasing three full length albums, with the last being “This Iz My Life”, distributed nationwide through Infinity/ Central South Distribution in 2008. All three come together combining experience in both the general and Christian music industry in the creative, marketing, promotion, management, administration and distribution fields.

Threatt Muzik will also be merging as the parent company to SOG Productions, a reputable recording studio and production company based in Fresno & Atlanta, GA that has been headed by partner Jared Elston, which will serve as the label’s recording home. Threatt Muzik is in the process of bringing together a diverse team of artists and sounds ranging from Christian Contemporary, R&P (rhythm & praise), Urban Contemporary, Jazz, Gospel, Hip Hop and Soul. The newly reformed label’s first album release will be “Supreme” from Tha GIM, with the first single “A New Day” being made available worldwide on 8/23/11, through iTunes and Amazon.

If there’s one term you can’t use t’describe this debut project from Least Of All (also known as L.O.A., who along with Valiant & Nova are the group Not By Sight), it’s that it is one dimensional! In creating Bondservant, Walk By Faith Music’s newest release, this California native breaks all the way out of th’ mold you would expect him to have been formed by. When asked about the project, L.O.A. says, “the goal was to create a musical expression of the relationship between Redeemer and the redeemed ex-slave turned willing servant.”

Bondservant not only has a refreshing musical variety of genre, production, writing, and delivery… it also has a rare supply of content and a concept that’s all out jaw dropping. Many of the issues that are confronted on this album are the issues that, for the most part, don’t get talked about in “church,” while at the same time not neglecting the wonders of God that everyone loves to talk about. Hear the struggle, hear the pain, hear the joy, hear the gratitude, hear the love, hear the worship, hear the warning, hear the cries of a Bondservant.

So, as you all know, Qheem & I are close friends. He’s probably one of my closest friends. We’ve had our ups and downs as homies… but praise God, we’ve come thru it all still good friends as men of God.

We were on our way to do an episode of Breathe Life Radio, and I needed to stop by my parent’s home for a few. As we pulled up, my Mom came outside, and was walking toward us with a huge, beautiful smile. At first glance, I thought she had her locks pulled back in to a pony tail. My next thought was, “wow… they’re pulled awfully tight for it t’be so smooth!” I then realized the significance of the word “smooth” in my thought!

My Mom had completely shaved her head! My next thought, after the “smooth” sentence went thru my mind, was how beautiful she looked!

Not everyone can pull off wearing locks, although MANY are walking around with their hair locked. There is an even smaller list of folks that can still be absolutely beautiful with a bald head. My Mom’s name is on that small list.

There is no health condition… my mother has not lost her mind… she has not left th’ safety and comfort of her relationship with Jesus Christ to join a cult… she has taken a step of faith & chose to drastically change her look…

..and in doing so, is more beautiful than she’s ever been. I love you, Mom… and I love your new look!
